Private patients
Last updated: January 2026
The following terms and conditions govern the provision of dental services at The Curve Dental.
Please read them carefully. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact our team.
1. Appointments
All new patients are required to arrive 10 minutes before their appointment to complete
registration forms and medical history questionnaires.
Consent forms and medical histories may be sent via email prior to treatment. Completing
these in advance helps ensure we can see you at your scheduled appointment time.
Please arrive promptly for all appointments. If you are running late, contact the practice
as soon as possible. We may be unable to see you if your late arrival impacts other scheduled
patients, as delays have a knock-on effect on the clinic schedule.
2. Cancellations and failed appointments
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the practice as soon as possible.
Notice periods required:
- Appointments under 60 minutes require 24 hours notice
- Appointments over 60 minutes require 5 days notice
Cancellation fees:
Appointments cancelled without adequate notice will incur a fee of £50 for the first
60 minutes, then £1 per minute thereafter.
If a patient fails to attend or cancels at short notice three times, we reserve the right to:
- Withdraw future appointments
- Discharge you from the practice
3. Deposits
The following deposits are required when booking appointments:
- New patient consultation: full fee
- Treatment appointments: 50% of treatment fee
New patient deposits are non-refundable if cancellation is made less than 24 hours
before the appointment.
All deposits are deducted from the final treatment cost.
Laboratory work and staged payments
Where treatment requires laboratory-manufactured items such as crowns, bridges,
dentures, or aligners, the total fee is due at the time of impression taking or scanning.

4. Treatment estimates and plans
Treatment estimates are provided following your consultation and are valid for six months
from the date of issue.
If clinical findings change during treatment, it may be necessary to amend the treatment
plan and associated costs. Any changes will be discussed with you before proceeding.
5. Bespoke medical devices

not permitted once manufacture has commenced.
This applies to custom-made items including:
- Custom-made aligners (for example Invisalign)
- Retainers and orthodontic appliances
- Crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays
- Dentures and partial dentures
- Splints and night guards

If you have concerns about the fit or quality of a bespoke device, please contact the practice
immediately. We will assess the issue and review your request in line with our complaints
and treatment guarantee procedures.
